Dr. Mario Hoffman works in
the area of soils for transportation facilities and pavement engineering since 1974.
He has been involved in projects dealing with design, rehabilitation,
construction, supervision, maintenance management and structural evaluation
of highway, railway and airport pavements, and with paving materials and
asphalt technology.
He has done consulting work in Dominica, Ecuador, U.S.A., Israel, Panama,
Peru, Bolivia, Dominican Republic, Grenada and Philippines, and has been
engaged in teaching and research activities at the Technion in Israel
and at the University of Illinois and Louisiana State University in the
US. Dr. Hoffman has authored or co-authored numerous technical papers
in refereed professional journals, and is an active member in national
and international professional committees and organizations.
Eng. Yehuda Ziss works since 1984 in soils
and pavement engineering with emphasis in the management and operation
of soils and materials laboratories, implementation of QC/QA in transportation
projects, management and supervision of paving projects, specifications
writing, and implementation of new paving technologies and materials.
He has done advanced studies in professional soils laboratories in
Delft, Holland, and worked with Solel Boneh in Nigeria as the Materials
Engineer, and with Mahzavei Even as the asphalt plant manager. Eng. Ziss
is an active member of Israeli Standards committees in asphalt and paving
materials, and is the expert advisor to the Israeli PWD in specialized
asphalt concrete mixtures.
